What do I need?
A Philips Hue Bridge (v2, the square one) and color-capable Hue lights on the same Wi-Fi. An Entertainment area (made in the official Hue app) unlocks 25 fps streaming.
Does it work with Spotify?
Yes — with everything. The microphone hears whatever is playing, so Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, records and live instruments all work. Party Mixes even open a matching Spotify playlist for your show.
Is my audio private?
Completely. Beat analysis runs on your iPhone in real time. Nothing is recorded, stored, or uploaded — there isn't even an account to leak.
How many lights?
Streaming shows drive up to 10 lights per Entertainment area (a Hue limit); classic shows drive every color light in your home.
Whole family, one purchase?
Pro Studio supports Apple Family Sharing, and household links let everyone's iPhone control the bridge without pressing the button again.
Guests?
Guest profiles can be blocked from starting parties, and quiet profiles cap brightness — hand your phone over without fear.
